Title: Acculturation and seeking program utilization for domestic violence among Latinas

Abstract: The main purpose of this research study was to understand the relationship between acculturation and program service utilization for Domestic Violence (DV) or Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) among Latina women. The researchers utilized a descriptive survey research design, employing a quantitative survey questionnaire. The data gathering methods for the study consisted of utilizing convenient and snowball sampling of thirty participants. The research presented statistical significance when looking at the relationship between residency levels of the participants and knowing of a successful social service agency in their community. Statistical significant relationships were also found between acculturation and the benefits of accessing social services pertaining to DV or IPV among Latinas. Implications for social work practice and policy are discussed.
