Title: Pregnancy protocol for intercollegiate atheletics

Abstract: The purpose of a pregnancy protocol at Sacramento State University will help protect a female student-athletes eligibility and scholarship aid while competing in intercollegiate sports. Research will be gathered via the internet, journals, books, newspaper articles and videos regarding athletes and pregnancy, Title IX, NCAA sports medicine guidelines and other universities protocols. This master's project resulted in the development of a Pregnancy Protocol for Sacramento State Intercollegiate Athletics Department. The protocol will be implemented and inserted in the fall 2009 Student-Athlete Handbook and Department Staff Manual.
